Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician supports the safe and efficient operation of our buildings, grounds, and agency vehicles. The role involves general upkeep, emergency repairs, and seasonal maintenance, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for staff, youth, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of or older
• Must hold a High School Diploma or GED
• General knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) strongly
• Prior maintenance experience in residential or child care facilities is a plus
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and a physical
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Note: Construction, electrical, or skilled trades experience is not required but highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance: plumbing, painting, electrical, window repair
• Handle drywall and minor roofing repairs
• Respond to emergency or unscheduled maintenance needs
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and equipment safely
• Groundskeeping: mowing, snow removal, landscaping, general lawn care
• Maintain agency vehicles: basic servicing, cleaning, and reporting issues
• Deliver food and household supplies to residential units as needed
• Assist with other maintenance duties as assigned by the Director of Buildings and Grounds
• Other duties assigned by Director of Engineering

Schedule and Availability

• Full time. Monday through Friday, 7AM to 3:30PM.
• On-call rotation: 1 weekend per month
