Maintenance Tech Apprentice - Mars, Incorporated : Job Details

The Maintenance Apprentice will follow a structured agenda that will include in-house, hands-on training with Maintenance Technicians along with formal industrial maintenance training. The Maintenance Apprentice will work with Day Based and Shift Technicians with expectations of developing the skills and abilities to progress into the role of Maintenance Shift Technician. - - Candidates for the program must be willing and able to work different shifts, based on business needs. Shifts may include days, nights, rotating shift, weekends. overtime and odd hours - - What are we looking for? Strong methodical troubleshooting skills. Good overall knowledge of plant flow, operation, and utilities. Good theoretical knowledge and ability to learn mechanical systems and equipment and hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems. Basic electrical knowledge and safety procedures. Basic ability to operate machine tools. Basic knowledge and skills in safe rigging techniques.
