Tarkett has a great opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor in our Middlefield, Ohio Manufacturing Plant. Tarkett is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team by providing technical support and direction while being a visible presence on activities the team undertakes. In this position you will work with site leadership to ensure the plant equipment is safe to operate, in working order, and repaired in a timely manner so that customer orders are delivered on time. This position is also responsible for maintaining the appearance, functionality, and quality of grounds, building and production equipment. Lastly, this selected candidate will be a mentor to his team, developing their problem solving skills and demonstrating the traits needed for them to continue to grow in their roles. What this role will be responsible for: • Leadership of the maintenance team by clearly defining all deliverables and developing means to measure and manage their collective performance. Ensure the team performs all activities in a safe manner • Identify, develop, implement and manage preventative maintenance activities to minimize unplanned downtime and ensure equipment and facility's reliability • Maintain the maintenance stockroom, identify which materials to stock, order the materials, and generate purchase order requests, while optimizing the departmental spending • Maintain the plant equipment in safe working conditions with minimal interruption to production • Develop predictive maintenance activities to further reduce production down time while optimizing R&M spares • Continue to build and utilize our CMMS system to make the team more efficient, reliable and responsive to the needs of the facility • Oversee or support engineering projects as assigned • Lead, select and effectively manage the internal maintenance apprentice program by providing learning opportunities and leadership to ensure the effectiveness of the program while creating a pipeline of talent to fulfill our maintenance growth and development needs • Develop a monthly training plan utilizing SMEs to deliver content to continue technical development of the team Experience & Education Desired: • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or related field and 5 years of maintenance experience and 3+ years of supervising a maintenance department or equivalent combination of education and experience • Above average written and verbal communication skills as well as experience leading teams and motivating others including employee development and mentoring • Ability to deescalate tense situations, as well as recognition of the internal customer/supplier relationship • Demonstrated problem solving skills • Experience implementing and/or using a computer-based maintenance management system • Experience with and use of Auto Cad, as well as MS office proficiency • Experience in World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Lean Six Sigma, and/or Toyota Production System is a plus • Experience with rubber, extrusion, mixing, or molding is a plus What We Offer
