- Maintenance & Equipment Reliability
- Direct the safe installation, maintenance, improvement, and operation of all production equipment.
- Ensure all systems comply with federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
- Maintain production line efficiency, uptime, and mechanical reliability.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment design and departmental procedures for maximizing asset availability.
- Reliability Engineering & Continuous Improvement
- Drive plant asset integrity and reliability programs using TPM, predictive maintenance, and Lean Six Sigma.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
- Provide technical support for all production equipment and systems.
- Inventory & Cost Management
- Maintain appropriate inventory and part supply to support maintenance operations.
- Optimize maintenance budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with operations, warehouse, planning, engineering, QA, and other departments.
- Interface with external vendors and contractors to ensure service quality and compliance.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Manage and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
- Oversee training, coaching, performance management, compensation, and career development.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Other Responsibilities
- Perform other duties or special projects as directed by plant management.
- Support plant initiatives and cross-functional improvement teams as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Proven success in leading maintenance teams and supporting lean manufacturing.
- Strong project management and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicable maintenance systems/software.
- Ability to work with multi-cultural workforce. Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.
Education and Experience
- 8+ years in manufacturing or project engineering (preferably in food processing or CPG).
- 5+ years of supervisory/people management experience.
- TPM, CMRP certification preferred; strong knowledge of asset management best practices.
