Position Summary:
The Maintenance Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production equipment and facilities within a fast-paced food and beverage environment. This position is responsible for developing and coordinating preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance schedules for equipment and facilities.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize operational disruptions.
- Prioritize work orders based on safety, production impact, and resource availability.
- Work Order Management:
- Review and process maintenance work requests.
- Create detailed job plans including labor, materials, tools, and estimated time requirements.
- Ensure accurate documentation of completed work orders and maintenance history.
- Inventory & Procurement:
- Monitor spare parts inventory and initiate procurement to ensure availability.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source parts and services.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze equipment performance and maintenance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support root cause analysis and reliability initiatives.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP) and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety and preventive maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance planning, preferably in a food and beverage or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SAP PM, Maximo, or similar CMMS platforms.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
- Technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems.
