Job Title Maintenance, Painter Job DescriptionResponsible for painting and finishing all surfaces, interior and exterior. This position also, requires physical mobility, manual dexterity and the ability to lift 50 - 70 lbs., including climbing ladders, working on roof tops, working in confined spaces and other physical demanding duties.Job Duties1. Work under the direction of the Superintendent of Physical Plant and the Assistant Superintendent of Building and Grounds, performing all duties as assigned.2. Responsible for the painting of all interior/exterior surfaces, to include furniture, floors, wall, ceilings, trim, curbs, parking lots and other areas as assigned.3. Perform all duties observing safety procedures and utilizing proper equipment (safety glasses, gloves, caution tape, tags, etc.).4. Submit work orders upon completion of tasks with any discrepancies noted.5. Work with contractors, subcontractors, and other vendors on campus.6. Responsible for maintaining inventory on tools and equipment.7. Assist with preventative maintenance.8. Help resolve problems and perform other general maintenance in areas such as painting, welding, changing light bulbs, mechanics, janitorial, etc. as they occur.9. Perform all duties as assigned in a timely manner.10. Work with all other maintenance personnel as assigned.11. Work on weekends, holidays, evening/nights and all other hours as required.12. Must maintain a valid MS Driver's License.13.
