Responsible for maintaining equipment on utility Steam Turbines and Generators including continuous monitoring and understanding of the equipment's normal operating parameters & limits. Utilize maintenance skills to perform repairs and overhauls of plant equipment. Troubleshooting faulty equipment, assisting in job planning and cost evaluation. JOB DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for performing maintenance functions on equipment throughout the facility which includes rotating equipment, manual and control valves, understanding power plant systems, starting and stopping of equipment, isolating and restoring equipment for maintenance following a Lock Out/ Tag Out (LOTO) procedure and monitoring boiler water chemistry equipment. Uses elementary principles of mechanical measuring devices, instruments, controls, and regulating devices as used in generating plants.
