Job Description

Sign-On Bonus: $2000

  • 2nd shift: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with a shift premium of $2/hr.
  • Maintain organization's production equipment.
  • Perform electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures.
  • Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as die cutters, web and sheet-fed presses, inserting machines, folders, conveyor systems, bindery equipment, etc., using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments, following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
  • Install and/or adjust equipment or machinery as needed to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Repair or reproduce parts using welders or machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders, or other machine shop equipment.
  • Install, inspect, and maintain facility systems including compressed air, boiler/steam systems, HVAC, vacuum, lighting/electrical, and plumbing.
  • Perform routine maintenance like inspecting drives, motors, belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and other preventative actions based on work-orders.
  • Provide recommendations regarding repairs, necessary materials and parts, and estimated repair times after troubleshooting.
  • Include PLC work as part of responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Skill in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, testing, and maintaining complex equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to make precise adjustments for alignment, parallelism, and concentricity.
  • Ability to perform precise measurements of air and fluid pressure and flow, and interpret mechanisms used to convert readings into measurable units.
  • Ability to interpret complex multiview drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Knowledge of geometry, shop mathematics, and formulas for surfaces, angles, clearances, and parameters like pressure and flow.
  • General knowledge of setting up and operating machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and grinders to manufacture or re-machine parts.
Additional Information

The pay range for this role at this location is $25.00 to $34.00 per hour, depending on education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location.
