Our client, a leader in their industry and premier company, is seeking an Experienced Maintenance Manager with a background in manufacturing to join their East Georgia team.
Summary:
Provides direction and leadership for electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical maintenance activities. Leads the path forward for maintenance and reliability. Supervises and schedules technical support for electrical and mechanical maintenance, projects and modifications, and emergency response for the support of the operation, associated buildings, machinery, and process equipment. Leads electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation installations and maintenance functions in a way that the level and quality of service ensures high manufacturing effectiveness.
Essential functions:
One or more plant locations operating year-round, 24 hours/dayManages exempt and non-exempt employees based on site and multiple contract employees performing mechanical and electrical engineering functions.Accountable for developing maintenance budget and assuring that it is achieved.Decides and approves appropriations requests up to specified limit equipment requests, repairs, process changes, etc.Major Challenges:Maximizing equipment efficiency and performance while assuring that the department meets operating plan and budgetMaximizing the available human resources to achieve goalsDeveloping and maintaining competent, motivated employees.Staying abreast of applicable safety, health, and environmental regulationsEducation and Experience:
- Minimum 2-year technical college degree with college degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years supervisory experience in a technically related area.
- Demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals of preventive maintenance, vibration analysis, oil analysis and engineering principles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance requirements of mineral processing equipment, including spray drying, cryogenic systems, magnetic separator, computers, controllers, plant electrical systems and processes.
- Working knowledge of computer systems and software.
- Able to organize time and priorities to effectively handle multiple functions.
- Writes clear, concise memos letter and instructions which others can understand; verbally transmits ideas, instructions, and information so they are clearly understood by others in formal or informal face-to-face situations.
- Demonstrates effective skills in planning, supervising, monitoring, and accomplishing the goals of specific project requirements. Includes balancing the task requirements with relevant people issues within the constraints of schedules and budgets.
- Understands state and federal safety regulations as they apply to one's area of responsibility and performs duties within that framework
