Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Energy from Waste company to recruit a Maintenance Manager for its site in Baltimore, MD.

The Maintenance Manager role comes with a starting salary of up to $170,000 + benefits.

Responsibilities and duties of the Maintenance Manager role

• Plan, assign, and oversee all maintenance and mechanical/E&I operations, including during outages.
• Manage preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities using CMMS.
• Lead maintenance team staffing, scheduling, development, and performance management.
• Implement and maintain plant procedures for safety, emergency response, and operational reliability
• Supervise contractors and vendors, ensuring safe, high-quality, and cost-effective outcomes.
• Support annual budget planning and performance tracking alongside the management team.
• Oversee equipment calibration, inspections, lubrication, and shop operations.
• Ensure strict adherence to lockout/tagout protocols and site safety procedures.
• Maintain maintenance records, spare parts inventory, and inspection documentation.
• Champion a culture of teamwork, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial management, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 6–8 years of maintenance experience, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of steam-generating power plant systems, mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and permitting related to safety, health, and the environment.
