This position will report directly to the Technical Director of OMERIN USA.

This is a working manager position meaning you will be responsible for the management of all maintenance activity and documentation, but also responsible for hands on job duties below.

The day to day activities will include:

  • Maintain and repair all mechanical equipment in a facility
  • Inspect, repair, and perform overhauls on mechanical drives/motors, motors, pneumatic and hydraulic components, motor control center devices, and conveyor systems Size and specify the appropriate product for technical applications and generate proposals
  • Performs basic machine shop duties such as grinding, drilling, metal fabrication, welding, and machining
  • Conducts basic installation, maintenance, and modification of equipment and control systems
  • Performs troubleshooting and repair of motor control centers, electro-mechanical drives, and sub-electrical panels using volt-ohm-amp meters
  • Manage all maintenance activities, PM schedules, documentation, and sub-contractors.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of high school diploma, technical certificate or associates degree preferred
  • Minimum of five years experience in a maintenance and/or repair role
  • Skilled in the use of tools, machines, and testing instruments used in the repair and overhaul of plant equipment
  • Knowledge and understanding of the basic operating principles of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic/vacuum systems and components.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety precautions, and inspection techniques for repairing and operating equipment in a food-manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, technical sketches, manuals, and schematics in the repair and overhaul of equipment and facilities.
  • Ability and willingness to further develop skills and ability through formal education and practical internal and external training programs.
  • Elementary understanding of basic electrical maintenance with PLC and repair.
  • This position requires walking, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
  • Ability to work around and on industrial equipment.
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection (as needed)
