Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with over 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with their hands and repairing machinery, performing both electrical and mechanical predictive and corrective maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform all electrical and mechanical predictive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and use skills to troubleshoot with effective communication.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, with a focus on hydraulics.
• Maintain electrical equipment and components, working with frequency controllers, electrical conductors, conduit, cable trays, power panels, motor control centers, and overhead lines.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
• Fabricate and repair tooling and machines when necessary.

Essential Skills

• Expertise in hydraulics and mechanics.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting.
• Experience as a maintenance technician, particularly with compression and injection molding machines.
• Ability to repair and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers.
• Mechanical knowledge, especially in hydraulics.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a 2nd shift opening with a start time at 11am, 12pm, or 1pm depending on the candidate's needs, with a shift end at 11pm. The successful candidate must train on the 1st shift for 4 weeks. The facility operates 24/7 with over 25 presses and injection molding machines. Join a maintenance team consisting of a maintenance manager, a maintenance supervisor, and a mechanic, with this position as the fourth member.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
