MAINTENANCE ENGINEER Orange County, CA Boardwalk Investments Group, LLC ( Boardwalk ) is a privately held commercial real estate investment company. Headquartered in Costa Mesa, California, the Firm currently manages a commercial real estate portfolio comprised of retail, mixed-use, office and multifamily assets located primarily in Orange County, California. Since 2012, Boardwalk's investment strategy is to actively acquire, stabilize, and manage commercial real estate located in core, coastal markets in California. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for conducting general maintenance tasks and painting duties within real estate portfolio. This position requires a strong technical aptitude, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining tenant satisfaction. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct routine inspections of real estate portfolio to identify maintenance needs
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs, electrical work, and mechanical system maintenance
- Repair and replace damaged fixtures, appliances, and equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues reported by residents and management
- Proficiently perform painting tasks, including surface preparation, priming, and applying coats of paint to various surfaces, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to specified color schemes and finish requirements
- Prepare apartments for new tenants by performing necessary repairs and touch-up painting
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
- Assist with landscaping and groundskeeping duties as needed
- Perform other tasks as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance work, preferably in a residential setting
- Proficiency in painting techniques and experience with interior and exterior painting projects
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor as required.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification or relevant vocational training is a plus
