Maintenance Coordinator

Are you an experienced Maintenance Coordinator looking for a hands-on role where your skills make an impact? EMR, a global leader in metal recycling, is hiring a Maintenance Coordinator to join ourBaton Rouge, LAdepot!

What You'll Do:

  • Receive, prioritize, assign, and close maintenance work orders.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance tasks and inspections according to the maintenance plan.
  • Maintain accurate records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Track equipment history, maintenance schedules, and parts usage.
  • Generate reports for downtime, maintenance KPIs, and backlog.
  • Act as a communication hub between technicians, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Coordinate contractor services and monitor on-site vendor activities.
  • Support planning of shutdowns, turnarounds, or major repairs.
  • Assist in monitoring spare parts inventory and coordinating with the storeroom.
  • Requisition tools, materials, and replacement parts as needed.
  • Ensure critical spares are available to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Keep accurate documentation for audits, inspections, and regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Creative problem solving skills, and the ability to resolve issues and provide solutions
  • Experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, GMP, or ISO standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
