Mailroom Clerk - FT - Peoples Bancorp : Job Details

Responsible for handling the mail that is coming into and leaving the business. Will track, process, sort and deliver to departments within the bank. Will ensure out-going mail is sent out in a timely manner to offices and branches outside of the Marietta area. Will ensure mail room is organized to ensure an overall efficiency to the process. Job Duties: Responsible for sorting, loading and delivering mail onto a cart which is taken through the facility for delivery to the proper internal departments at least twice daily. Responsible for picking up mail from departments at least twice daily. Responsible for shipping outgoing mail and packages in a timely manner to branches and business. Weighs items that will be mailed and affixes proper postage. Responsible for entering data into a computer. Responsible for knowledge and understanding of UPS Process of shipping which includes preparing items for shipment, logging and tracking of these items.
