Requirements Job Summary: The Mail Processing Clerks have various duties. There are openers/extractors, mail preparation, and scanners. All positions have a minimum productivity rate for tasks performed. Mail Processing Clerks effectively meet production goals to satisfy the deadlines of our clients while upholding a high level of quality and commitment to Moore RMG. Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Extract and sort checks, documents, and envelopes.
- Read and sort correspondence and items returned.
- Sort non-scannable transactions such as damaged mail and customer correspondence etc.
- Review correspondence for errors or missing information.
- Scan correspondence accordingly.
- Must meet minimum productivity rates for mail opening based on task performed:
- Report mail issues and problems immediately.
- Maintain accurate piece count and report daily to the supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work overtime including Saturday during times of mail fluctuations.
- Ability to maneuver between departments minimum of 100 feet, maximum of 600 feet at a time. This would be 10% of the time.
- Ability to remain on production floor until breaktimes.
- Ability to be at a desk 90% of the time.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to read cursive handwriting.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Multitasking and prioritizing.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Education and Experience:
- GED, or Highschool diploma preferred.
