Mail Clerk - Compunnel : Job Details

Job Summary The Mail Clerk will support mailroom operations at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, focusing on printer fleet support, mail distribution, and equipment maintenance. This role requires strong customer service skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to work independently in a hospital environment. The position involves extensive walking, lifting, and interaction with various departments across the campus. Key Responsibilities • Respond to and troubleshoot service calls for printers and multi-function devices. • Escalate unresolved service issues to Tech Services and follow up with customers. • Update service tickets and maintain accurate records of service activity. • Order, deliver, and install toner across various hospital locations. • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and functionality checks. • Collect and report monthly metrics including meter readings, service calls, and equipment utilization. • Track incoming and outgoing equipment across the facility. • Assist with moving equipment and perform mailroom duties as needed. • Walk extensively throughout the hospital campus to fulfill service and delivery tasks. • Lift and move items up to 50 pounds with assistance. Required Qualifications • Excellent customer service and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members. • Experience with printer troubleshooting and maintenance. • Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems (preferred). • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; PowerPoint skills are a plus. • Basic computer skills for scanning, naming, and saving files. • Physical ability to walk extensively and lift up to 50 pounds. • Business casual attire suitable for a hospital environment. • Willingness to receive a free flu vaccine (highly recommended due to hospital setting). • Ability to drive as part of the role.
