Job SummaryJOB TITLE: Mail Clerk REPORTS TO: ACFO (Assistant Chief Financial Officer WORK DAYS: 12 Months 240 Days SALARY: Salary Schedule 35-03 ($33,528 - $45,294) LOCATION: Central Office FLSA Status:EXEMPT NON EXEMPT X JOB DESCRIPTION: The Mail Clerk is responsible for managing the daily operations of incoming and outgoing mail for the district's administrative office. This includes sorting, distributing, and delivering internal and external correspondence in a timely, accurate, and secure manner. The position requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to interact courteously with staff and external partners. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate departments and personnel. Collect and prepare outgoing mail, including letters, parcels, and interoffice correspondence. Operate postage machines, scales, and other mail processing equipment. Maintain accurate records of registered, certified, or special delivery items. Coordinate mail runs between district buildings and school sites as assigned. Ensure secure handling of sensitive or confidential documents. Assist with inventory and ordering of mailing supplies (e.g., envelopes, boxes, postage). Perform light clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, or data entry as needed. Follow USPS guidelines and district policies regarding mail handling and delivery. Report equipment malfunctions or operational concerns promptly. Support other administrative staff as directed. Disseminate Xerox auto replenish copier supplies Daily post office mail pickup (incoming) and drop off (outgoing) Other assigned duties, as needed Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED required. Prior experience in mail services or general office support preferred. Valid driver's license Ability to lift packages up to 30 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic computer proficiency (email, spreadsheets, tracking logs). Dependability and professionalism in all interactions.
