We are AS9100 certified and committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and customer satisfaction.JOB SUMMARYJabil is seeking experienced Machinists to setup and operate 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC mills or CNC lathes with live tooling and without. RESPONSIBILITIESSafely perform all tasksWork from blueprints, engineering drawings, set up instructions, job instruction sheets, and verbal instructions to fabricate a variety of machined componentsInspect parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, bore gages, diameter & groove gages, and height gagesOperate a variety of CNC Mills or Lathes and other hand and power machinesAssemble cutting toolsObserve and listen to machine operation to detect worn or damaged cutting toolsManipulate controls/enter commands to set tool offsets and work positionsMake shop calculations to determine tooling feeds and speedsMaintain 6S requirements in work areaPerforms other job functions as assignedJOB QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTSMust be able to lift and load parts into machineryBlueprint reading including Geometric Dimensioning & TolerancingUnderstand G and M codes and/or MazatrolCapable of performing some heavy labor, ability to lift 50-75 lbsGood communication skills (verbal and written)Good working knowledge of hand measuring and inspection toolsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSHigh School/GED or higher education, preferred2-5 years' experience as a machinistMazak Mill or Intregrex or other multi-axis machining experience, preferredThis position requires use of information which is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). To conform to U.S. Government export regulations/ITAR, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.As part of the total rewards package, this position is eligible for a short-term incentive based on performance. The hourly pay range for this role is $18.61 - $33.51.
