Machinist - Corning : Job Details

This role supports research and development projects by fabricating and assembling prototype parts and equipment with precision and efficiency. Required Skills/ Experience/ Education: Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required. 4 years of applicable machine shop experience or military equivalent, or Journeyman or Class A status. OR Minimum 2-year Machine Tool Technology degree. OR Certificate in a relevant field with a minimum of 1-year experience. Key Responsibilities: Fabricate and/or assemble prototype parts and equipment using ideas and designs. Set up and operate a variety of machines including: o CNC Lathes o 3 and 5-axis CNC Mills o Wire EDM o Surface Grinders o Drill Presses o Manual Lathes o Manual Mills o Straight Vertical Milling Machines Write and/or edit existing machine programs to produce parts that meet design specifications and company quality standards.
