We are seeking a Permanent Machine Shop Supervisor to join our team in the dynamic Manufacturing industry. This position offers the chance to lead a team of skilled CNC machinists, work with cutting-edge machinery, and contribute to the production of high-quality parts and components.Responsibilities:As a Machine Shop Supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the daily operations of our CNC machine shop. You will be responsible for:1. Supervising and coordinating the activities of CNC machinists, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.2. Programming and operating CNC machines, using Mastercam software to produce precision parts and components.3. Implementing and maintaining AS9100 quality management system to ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards.4. Utilizing CAD/CAM software for part design and manufacturing planning.5. Training and mentoring staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.6. Troubleshooting and resolving machine and production issues swiftly to minimize downtime.7. Collaborating with other departments such as Engineering and Quality Assurance to optimize production processes and enhance product quality.8. Conducting regular performance evaluations, providing feedback, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.9. Ensuring a safe and clean work environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will need:1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or lead role within a CNC machine shop environment.2. Proficiency in CNC programming and operating, with a strong understanding of Mastercam or similar software.3. Extensive knowledge of AS9100 quality management system and aerospace manufacturing standards.4. Experience with CAD/CAM software for part design and manufacturing planning.5.
