Location: Granite City, IL - Shift: 3rd Shift: 7 p - 7 a | 12 hour rotating - 2/2/3 schedule Pay: $18.50/hour. Responsibilities as the Machine Operator Assistant:Assist operator in threading materials from parent roll through guides and rollers to cutters, gluer, printer, folding device, or electric sealer. Assist in starting machine, observes operation, and adjusts machine to ensure uniform shearing, printing, folding, gluing or sealing on continuous roll of material into finished bags. May insert shaft into core of parent roll and secure with steel collars, using hand tools, and mount roll onto machine, using hoist. Assist in operating machine in proper manner, maintaining high production and quality product, with minimal waste, while maintaining set goals of machine speeds.
