Pay Rate is $16.00/hour. *IMPORTANT: You will train on 2nd shift (following a 1-day 1st shift Orientation on your first day). *You will also be eligible for a $500 attendance bonus earned over the first 90 days High School diploma or GED is REQUIRED Steel Toes are REQUIRED Job Description: Perform multiple jobs within the production area on automated and semi-automated equipment, in a fast paced automotive environment. These jobs could include, but are not limited to, Machine Operator, Assembly, Tank Toter (moving tanks to various places on the plant floor) and Water Spider (supplying each line with the necessary parts to run production). Shifts available: 2nd shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm Responsibilities: Daily Responsibilities: Work within the operator classification on all production lines and stations for job rotations. Removes flash from product, inspects visually for defects, weighs product and places it in cooling area. Perform Quality inspections and record data Work in accordance with Work Instructions, Standard Work and Quality Alerts Report any equipment malfunctions, abnormal product quality or any process that is found to be out of specification Follow standard reaction plan (labels, bins, etc.) Follow escalation process Perform tasks per instructions (i.e. error proofing on equipment) Complete required documents (shift logs, traceability, etc.) Perform first level preventative maintenance such as checking fluid levels, and gauges Keep assigned area and equipment clean, safe and orderly Experience: Working hours: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Various Shifts Available) Skills: Requirements Authority and responsibility to stop production when a quality or safety issue arises Work requires walking, talking, seeing, hearing, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, grasping, crouching, pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing Must comply with all work rules, policies, procedures and work instructions HEAVY LIFTING - Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis Work requires working under high and low temperatures at certain times Team Oriented Strong Communication Skills Ability to work overtime Background/Drug Screen will be completed Steel toes REQUIRED Personal Background High School diploma or GED is REQUIRED 1 to 3 years of previous automotive manufacturing experience is PREFERED Knowledge of lean production systems in manufacturing is a PLUS Intermediate Computer Skills are a PLUS Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Referral program Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Overtime Application Question(s): Steel toe shoes are required Education: High school or equivalent (Required) Education: High School Experience: 0-1 years Qualifications: Experience: Manufacturing: 1 year (Required) Machine Operator: 1 year (Required) Assembly: 1 year (Required) SPHERION has IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for 2nd SHIFT for Machine Operator/Assembler positions in Anderson, SC .
