As a part of the Off-Search Sourcing and Relevance team, you will deliver a relevant and engaging shopping experience on non-search pages of Amazon.com. We leverage cutting-edge technology solutions and develop advanced machine learning models rooted in deep insights about products and shoppers. Your role will involve conducting A/B tests to identify the most pertinent advertisements for downstream systems, ultimately enhancing click-through prediction and ad auctions.

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer with expertise in Machine Learning. You will take the lead in driving major product and engineering initiatives, building large-scale, low-latency distributed systems, and developing ML infrastructure along with data processing pipelines. Collaborating with Product Managers and Scientists, you will tackle complex challenges at Amazon scale, applying your engineering prowess to create impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, code, troubleshoot, and support data pipelines and online ad serving systems.
• Continuously work to understand our customers and their needs.
• Architect and design systems for ad serving that address real-world customer scenarios.
• Integrate solutions into high-volume, low-latency distributed systems.
• Measure the impact of your solutions through rapid experimentation and analyze customer response.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship).
• 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, and scalability).
• Experience in programming with at least one software development language.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of comprehensive experience in the software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics, or natural language processing.

This position is based at Amazon's headquarters. The salary for this role ranges from $129,300 to $223,600 annually, influenced by geographic location, skills, and experience.
