Job Description:

  • This role is critical for bridging the gap between business users and the AI/ML team by documenting workflows and data structures within a legacy EHR system. It ensures machine learning efforts are grounded in real operational context while supporting user training and adoption of new features.

Required Skills:

  • Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and technical staff to document business workflows and develop a deep understanding of how EHR data is captured and used.
  • Build subject matter expertise in EHR system behavior, data structures, and operational processes.
  • Author clear, comprehensive documentation, including data dictionaries, workflow diagrams, and technical notes that support knowledge transfer and model development.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and developers, particularly when new EHR features or data elements are introduced.
  • Support rollout of application updates by training users, gathering feedback, and creating reference materials to ensure smooth adoption of new workflows and data entry practices.
  • Use Python, SQL, and foundational machine learning techniques to analyze and model clinical and operational data stored in Oracle databases.
  • Clean and query large datasets to prepare training data and derive insights that feed into dashboards, reports, and predictive models.
  • Build and deploy AI/ML models integrated into tools that support decision-making and operational improvement.
  • Translate complex data findings into actionable insights through structured storytelling, effective visualizations, and clear communication.
