Job details*Company Overview*AllMind AI is developing a unified data and artificial intelligence workspace for hedge funds and institutional investment firms. Our platform provides technical and non-technical teams with dedicated APIs and web-based terminals to retrieve real-time information from thousands of sources and perform AI-powered analysis. As our second Founding Engineer, you will have a significant impact on our product architecture, ML technology stack, and company trajectory.*Role Overview*We are seeking a versatile and entrepreneurial Founding Engineer with expertise in backend systems and machine learning to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer capable of transforming complex data feeds into clean features, training machine learning models, and deploying them into production. You will establish the methodology for our data handling processes, optimize our machine learning stack, and collaborate closely with the team to transition ideas from concept to live service. This role will also involve direct contributions to our backend services.*Key Responsibilities** Build and optimize scalable backend systems using Golang and Python.* Develop and maintain data pipelines for analysis models with PyTorch.* Design and implement intuitive UI components and comprehensive dashboards.* Enhance existing APIs, integrate AI models, and establish a scalable system architecture.* Improve and refine our data lake architecture to support machine learning initiatives.* Ingest and process exchange feeds by designing and operating low-latency pipelines that capture Level 3 data, ensure lossless storage, and make it available for querying in seconds.* Engineer real-time features, including rolling order-book, trade, and liquidity data.* Develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models using Python (PyTorch/TensorFlow, scikit-learn) to forecast short-term price movements and market microstructure signals.* Continuously improve and optimize existing data pipelines and data lakes.*Requirements** Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with a strong academic record.* Proven experience in both machine learning and backend development.* Strong proficiency in Python and Golang, including relevant frameworks and libraries (e.g., PyTorch, pandas, SciPy).* Experience thriving in fast-paced, iterative development environments.* A self-directed work ethic with the ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize tasks effectively.* Excellent communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.* Authorization to work in Canada.*Why Join Us*This is a unique opportunity to build a transformative product that will redefine the future of finance.
