Job Title: Machine AssemblerLocation: PMI Kyoto Packaging Systems - Elk Grove Village, ILDepartment: AssemblyReports To: Assembly ManagerJob Type: Full-timeSchedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week (with potential for overtime) with 20% to 30% Travel.Hourly Rate: Between $25 to $35 an hour depending on experienceJob Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Assembler, The ideal candidate will play a key role in efficiently assembling custom packaging machinery, contributing to the productivity and growth of our organization.Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience):Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in machine manufacturingProficiency with hand tools, including screwdrivers and drill gunsStrong problem-solving abilitiesEffective communication skillsHigh attention to detail and self-motivationAbility to lift 30-50 pounds and perform repetitive tasksHigh School diploma or GED required; professional certification is a plusBasic PC skills, including proficiency with email and Office software (advanced technical skills not required)Duties and Responsibilities:Accurately interpret and follow blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials to assemble machinery and equipmentMaintain and organize inventory at workstationsConduct quality checks to ensure products meet established standardsIdentify defects, document issues, and take corrective action as necessaryRework or repair equipment according to engineering specificationsPerform all tasks in compliance with safety procedures and quality standardsMaintain a clean and safe working environmentInstall components such as grease lines, air lines, sheet metal guarding, guards, switches, and pneumaticsPerform drilling and tapping on machinery as neededAssist with machine shipping logisticsSupport machine setup and troubleshooting post-assembly, ensuring proper operationParticipate in on-site installations and modifications (approximately 20% of the role; negotiable)General Skills and Abilities:Strong analytical skills and attention to detailAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under pressureExcellent communication Proactive and capable of working independently with minimal supervisionCommitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment consistent with 5S standardsBenefits: Medical PPO Company paid 100 % for Employee and about 90% for dependents.Dental PPO Plan - Company paid 100 % for EmployeeVision plan PPO Plan Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) $1,500 for Employee and $3,000 for Family annuallyEAP - Employee Assistance ProgramLife insurance ($25,000 Basic and Supplemental options)Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance (Basic and Supplemental options)Company-paid Short-Term Disability (STD) Voluntary Long-Term Disability (LTD) coverage401K Plan11 Paid HolidaysPTO and Sick timeTuition Reimbursement - Up to $5,250 per year towards tuition reimbursement.
