Job OverviewCorporate Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) provides internal advisory and deal execution services to executives and business heads throughout the organization, including close collaboration with legal, finance/accounting, tax and other areas for all business units and geographies across Citigroup and its subsidiaries. Projects include acquisitions and other expansionary transactions, divestitures, transaction management, corporate valuation, sell-side auctions, exploratory M&A analysis and advisement of senior executives and Board of Directors and completion of the Separability workstream for Citi's annual recovery and resolution plans (RRP).
The M&A Sr. Lead Analyst has day-to-day project management responsibility for the execution of acquisitions and divestitures, and the other similar projects in support of a Managing Director and/or Director. The role requires overseeing the financial analysis, preparation and evaluation of marketing materials, coordination of due diligence including preparation of the management team for due diligence, analysis and review of key transaction issues with all Citigroup functional team leaders, and presentation of key business/legal issues and financial impact of the contemplated transaction to senior management. The role includes the support of planning processes that evaluate multiple scenarios and structures for acquisitions, divestitures, strategic investments and special situations with engagement internally across businesses and internal teams, as well as externally, with counterparties and advisors in the marketplace.
