Job Description :
Primary Function Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Lung Nodule Program. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the follow up manager software, including updating program data.
  • Review scheduled patients, corrects discrepancies, reaches out to providers when necessary.
  • Ensure reminder and result letters/emails/texts are sent to patients and providers.
  • Act as a liaison with patients, technologists, schedulers, providers, radiologists, and pulmonary team members to ensure overall program success.
  • Ensure regulatory guidelines are followed.
  • Direct suspicious cases to Nurse Navigator
  • Responsible for the overall workflow and communication of suspicious cases, follow-up recommendations, and documentation of next steps through resolution.
  • Provide program statistics.
  • Communicates changes to end users, trains and assesses end user competency.
  • Participates in testing of new system interfaces, upgrades, and changes. Performs testing on all system upgrades.
  • Troubleshoots follow-up manager software with staff and vendors as necessary.
  • Maintain and update downtime procedures.
  • Serves as the backup for the PACS administrator.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Job Qualifications and Specifications Associate degree with RT and equivalent computer courses and/or experience as related to Radiology Information Systems (RIS). Knowledgeable with Excel and Word. Minimum of 2 years working experience in Radiology Department.
