Lunch Server - High School - Iowa Staffing : Job Details

Lunch Server at the WSR High School 3 hours/day. Starting pay is $15.00/hour

Job Goal:

To serve WSR school meals to students in a pleasant, timely and appropriate manner, meeting Iowa Food Code regulations. To demonstrate a positive attitude, loyalty, cooperation, teamwork, attendance, and safety.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Limited amount of food preparation, including but not limited to produce washing and preparation, opening and portioning canned fruit and yogurt

Accepts hot and cold carts from transport driver. Reviews contents of the cart, according to the day's production sheet

Sets up service line, counts trays for meals service number accuracy, gathers appropriate utensils for service, according to production sheet

Serves all food required in the food services program, according to production sheet

Reads, follows and completes production sheets daily, with accuracy

Notes and records food, refrigerator/freezer and dish machine temperatures. Communicates any inappropriate temperatures to kitchen manager

Sets up and operates dish machine with safety and appropriate use of chemicals

Operates all food preparation equipment in a safe manner, including garbage disposal, microwave, hot carts, can opener, use of knives and serving utensils

Cleans and sanitizes equipment, food preparation areas and cafeteria tables, as needed, while maintaining the highest possible standards of sanitation
