Job Summary: The School Lunchroom Supervisor ensures a safe, orderly, and pleasant environment for students during meal times. This includes monitoring student behavior, enforcing lunchroom rules, assisting with routines, and supporting the overall lunchtime operations.? Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting (preferred).
• Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with students and staff.
• Patience, dependability, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; lift light objects if needed.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise students in the cafeteria during lunch periods.
• Ensure students follow school rules and lunchroom procedures.
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students.
• Assist students as needed (e.g., opening containers, finding seats, cleaning spills).
• Promote good table manners and appropriate behavior.
• Manage student movement in and out of the cafeteria (e.g., lining up, dismissal).
• Respond to disciplinary or behavioral issues according to school policy and report serious infractions to school administrators.
• Collaborate with cafeteria staff and other supervisors to ensure the efficient operation of lunch service.
• Help maintain the cleanliness of cafeteria tables and the floor between lunch periods.
• Monitor for and respond to potential safety hazards or medical issues.
• Encourage student independence and cooperation.
