Role and Responsibilities
Working alongside other Lube-Tire Technicians, this position is an integral part of our day-to-day operation. This position is typically the first step in a mechanics career path but should not be taken lightly. This position:
- Will empty used oil from vehicles and dispose of properly.
- Refill/replace lubricants to all moving parts of the vehicle engines.
- Will perform maintenance/regular checks on the engine.
- Lubricate the wheel bearings to prevent tire wear whenever required.
- Replace cabin, fuel, air and oil filters as required.
- Perform tire rotations to ensure the tires wear evenly.
- Perform tests on tires and check/set pressures.
- Make recommendations to the Service Writer about possible repairs needed now and future concerns.
- Assist mechanics when they request help.
- Perform tire mount/balance of tires (new and existing).
- Daily/weekly checks to ensure all shop lubricants are full and readily available.
- Daily/weekly cleaning of shop.
- Maintain a current NC inspector license.
- Perform safety inspections required by NC DMV.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Lube/Oil Change Experience (required)
- NC Inspection/Emission License (helpful, but will send the right fit to class)
- Clean Driving Record (required)
- Tire Technician (helpful)
- Proven experience in automotive maintenance (helpful)
- Excellent time-management skills and problem-solving skills

- 40 hours per week; 8-hour shifts (No weekends)
