Job Title: Parking Lot Attendant / Lot Auditor

Department: Commercial Parking Operations

Reports to: Commercial Parking Manager

Schedule: Full Time / Part-Time

Status: Non-Exempt

Compensation: $9.00 - $17.00 per hour (rates vary by market)

Position Summary

The Parking Lot Attendant ensures a smooth, safe, and organized parking experience. Responsibilities include directing traffic, assisting customers, monitoring the lot, and maintaining cleanliness and security. Ideal candidates are friendly, detail-oriented, and comfortable outdoors in all weather conditions.

Primary Objective

Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient parking environment, including guest assistance, policy enforcement, and supporting lot operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ticketing & Payments: Issue tickets, handle payments accurately, and manage related paperwork.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Complete logs, track tickets and revenue, and document parking activities.
  • Administrative Support: Label keys, record vehicle details, and organize parking records.
  • Security & Compliance: Regularly inspect the lot, report unsafe activities, and ensure proper vehicle parking.
  • Lot Maintenance: Keep the parking area clean and assist with light cleaning tasks.
  • Customer Service: Assist guests with payments and questions professionally and courteously.
  • Teamwork & Communication: Use radios effectively and support a positive team environment.
  • Professionalism & Attendance: Arrive punctually, follow policies, and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Additional Duties: Support operational needs, attend training, and adapt to scheduling requirements.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Customer service experience preferred; positive attitude essential.
Licenses & Background Checks
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Maintain a clean driving record (no more than three violations in three years).
  • Pass a background check.
Physical & Work Environment
  • Stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
  • Work outdoors and indoors in all weather conditions.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and follow grooming standards.
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Communication & Technology
  • Strong communication skills, active listening, and professionalism.
  • Use of personal cell phones for work-related communication may be required.
