Loss Prevention Specialist
Position Summary: We are seeking a highly observant and detail-oriented Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for protecting company assets by identifying, investigating, and preventing internal and external theft, ensuring a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, and merchandise.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV) and conduct routine audits to detect and prevent theft, shrinkage, and fraud.
- Conduct internal and external investigations, interviews, and incident reports in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with leadership to support security and safety initiatives.
- Conduct safety walkthroughs and ensure all loss prevention and safety protocols are followed.
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies, including theft, accidents, and policy violations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, investigations, and recoveries.
- Support physical security systems such as alarm systems, access controls, and security devices.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on loss prevention awareness and best practices.
- Partner with local law enforcement when needed and assist with legal proceedings or documentation.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in loss prevention, asset protection, security, or related fields.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment, auditing processes, and investigative techniques.
- Excellent observation, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or emergency situations.
- Flexible working various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and respond quickly for extended periods.
