Job Description
The Seasonal Loss Prevention Officer ensures the safety of guests and staff, enforces hotel policies, and documents incidents accurately. Prepare incident and accident reports as specified by the Director of Loss Prevention.
Responsibilities
Observe, report, and maintain security across the hotel property. The position is flexible, including 1st and 2nd shifts, with support for 3rd shift as needed. Must work weekends.
- Perform security rounds of front and back of house areas.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and security requests.
- Maintain professional attitude and appearance.
- Ensure safety of hotel, guests, and staff property.
- Monitor receiving dock security and assist with parcel collection.
- Assist with retrieving items from the Purchasing department after hours and on weekends.
- Confiscate unauthorized parcels and notify management.
- Protect hotel from unauthorized access and conduct courteous engagement with guests.
- Be familiar with hotel amenities, facilities, and local attractions.
- Follow safety procedures, including fire alarms and emergency protocols.
- Complete all required reports and documentation.
- Uphold high standards of security and guest service, including maintaining CPR certification and adhering to dress code.
- Assist guests proactively, providing directions and engaging in conversation to enhance their experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous security experience preferred.
- CPR certification required.
- Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and shifts.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
- Exposure to indoor/outdoor environments and hazardous chemicals.
- Proficiency with desktop computers, radios, and communication tools.
