Job Description :

Position: Logistics Coordinator

Duties: Responsible for leading and developing a Logistics Team to ensure all activities related

with Material flow, Handling, Storage and Control are being performed in the most efficient way to fulfill internal and external customer needs; Ensure material handling duties are being performed in a Safely way by auditing and taking actions over safety issues related with Material Handling; Meet Proeza Internal Control Policy and Metalsa's KPIs (based on Focus Document) and MOS guidelines. Ensuring all working procedures are being defined, implemented and followed; Ensure Quality System is updated and being implemented. Tracking and validating all action plans are closed at 100%; Define, implement and track in a continuous way the effectiveness of the process, ensuring 100% of deliveries to customer on time, quantity and cost; Support Production Schedules and Engineering Changes ensuring communication is being done on time to Material Planners, Production Schedulers and Product Management Team; Ensure that PIVH fleet is the right size and that is being used correctly by making audits to validate all safety devices are working correctly and analyzing % usage; Ensure the management and control of materials is being performed correctly in the whole process. Tracking cycle counts, production and scrap reports and making A3 problem solving to minimize GAPS; Improve ESS Score; Validate team members have the right tools and training to perform their duties, ensuring all working procedures are implemented and being followed; Validate all unsafe conditions reported are closed; Implement a communication process in assigned area and between departments; Define, implement and track material flow based on current layout; Ensure Plan for Every Part (PFEP) is being followed and updated if changes are made; Define and manage material handling equipment such as containers, carts and racks, ensuring Plant has enough to support production, while ensuring it is being used correctly by developing and auditing standard packs; Ensure maintenance and repairs are being performed on a monthly basis; Define, implement and track Storage areas for RAW, WIP and FG materials ensuring it is safe, right sized, meets FIFO and score above 80 on 5S's; Develop Improvement Projects that help to increase business profitability, validating effectiveness of working systems implemented and analyzing and tracking all Logistics Cost; Manage Budget for Expenses, Overtime and Head Count for Cost Centers Assigned; Perform other duties/responsibilities at the Elizabethtown, KY facility, as needed.

Location: Elizabethtown, KY

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial

Engineering or related discipline.

Experience: 5 years of experience in the job offered, or in manufacturing or logistic projects

engineering position within the automotive chassis frame industry. Experience must include the implementation of logistics projects in time, quality and cost. Must have hands-on experience of providing expert technical solutions during the planning, design, implementation, testing and approval of supply chain on projects. Experience can be gained concurrently. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
