In line with our rapid expansion, we are seeking a logistics sales leader to support the ongoing growth of Evennon Logistics, a key branch of our operations. This role will focus on the brokerage sector and will operate independently of TenEight Trucking, though it plays a critical role in our overall logistics strategy.

The logistics sales leader be responsible for managing all aspects of the brokerage including sales team management, hiring, mentorship and will also play a pure business development function--establishing relationships, tracking and securing requests for information (RFI) and requests for proposal (RFP) as well as hunt for direct to contract opportunities---with freight providers large and small domestically in the Midwest, Northeast and Southeast United States as well as internationally. TenEight has an established account management team so you'll have support managing relationships once developed. Position can be onsite, hybrid or remote with periodic travel to the Orlando office for relationship[ building and important functions.

Position requirements

  • Proven extensive national or international truckload (TL) or Less Than Truckload (LTL) sales experience and trusted relationships in the US and preferably MX Cross Border. Expectation is that you'll bring a book of business with
  • Proven track record of successfully executing sales campaigns.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing sales teams and growing others
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with key clients.
  • Developing and implementing customized solutions to meet client transportation and logistics requirements.
  • Meeting sales targets and contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the brokerage.
  • Conducting regular business reviews with key clients to ensure customer satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with other departments within the company to ensure seamless service delivery to key clients.
  • Managing client contracts and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Providing regular sales reports to management

Educational Background / Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales or a related field is required.
  • 5-10+ years of experience in transportation brokerage or transportation customer (asset) sales and management experience specifically in TL or LTL is required.
  • Strong knowledge of US Customs Clearance, Cross Border Operations and Warehouse Solutions is a huge plus.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of transportation and logistics regulations and laws
  • Experience in managing key accounts in the transportation and logistics industry
  • Fluent in Spanish, both written and verbal is not required but desired.

Up to $190,000 annually commensurate with experience plus uncapped commission both individually and from the team
