Position Summary

The Logistics Manager at Duotech Services plays a crucial role in day-to-day operations. The knowledgeable, highly organized manager with experience in the defense industry oversees all aspects of domestic and international shipments. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. export regulations (ITAR, EAR), managing freight and logistics providers and maintaining secure, timely and cost-effective delivery of sensitive or controlled goods. The ideal candidate understands the critical importance of compliance, accuracy and efficiency in a regulated, mission-focused environment.

Position Description

Manage all logistics and shipping functions, including ITAR/EAR-controlled shipments.

Oversee preparation and accuracy of shipping documentation such as commercial invoices, bills of lading, export licenses, and customs declarations.

Assist with and oversee packaging of products to ensure proper protection, compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements, and suitability for domestic and international transit.

Coordinate closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to ensure timely and compliant movement of goods.

Maintain compliance with U.S. and international export/import laws, including ITAR, EAR, AES filings, HTS, ECCN, and Incoterms.

Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of trade compliance policies and procedures.

Work with internal stakeholders (e.g., Contracts, Engineering, Quality, and Program Management) to support government contracts and delivery milestones.

Track and manage shipment schedules, freight spend, and carrier performance.

Lead or assist in investigations, disclosures, and audits related to logistics or trade compliance.

Maintain accurate shipping and compliance records per federal regulations and company policy.

Support government property control and transportation of government-furnished material (GFM) as needed.

Position Basic Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of logistics/shipping experience, with at least 2 years in a defense or government-regulated environment.

2+ years supervisory experience.

Strong working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, DFARS, and other relevant regulations.

Proficiency with logistics software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Familiarity with DDTC and BIS licensing processes.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Limited travel may be necessary.

U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if necessary.

Position Desired Skills

Thorough knowledge of U.S. export regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and AES filing requirements

Experience with defense or government-related logistics, including DD250 and DFARS requirements

Familiarity with MIL-STD packaging requirements, including preservation, packing, and marking for military shipments

Hands-on experience with packaging and labeling, ensuring goods are prepared for secure and compliant domestic and international shipment

Strong understanding of Incoterms, HTS classification, ECCN, and international customs processes

Proficiency with ERP and logistics systems.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate across departments and with third-party logistics providers

Problem-solving mindset, especially in resolving customs issues, transportation delays, or documentation discrepancies

Analytical skills for cost analysis, carrier performance evaluation, and logistics planning

Ability to maintain accurate records in support of audits, government contracts, and compliance requirements

U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance required
