LDF is looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join the Purchasing Team at our Wichita location. Come be a part of the LDF family and have FUN while you work with BEER! The Logistics Coordinator assists with logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, purchasing, and transportation to support optimizing processes for maximum efficiency and productivity. The Logistics Coordinator is expected to work under minimal supervision creating and maintaining reports, coordinating tasks between departments to ensure optimal workflow, and communicating with suppliers, carriers, management, and other team members. Key objectives for the role are to ensure smooth daily operations, improve efficiency, facilitate communication and coordinate resources effectively. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Plan and execute the transportation of goods and materials from origin to destination. This includes selecting the most appropriate transportation mode, negotiating rates with carriers, and real-time tracking of shipments. Manage inventory levels to ensure that the right products are in the right storage facility at the right time. This includes using forecast data to gauge demand, thoughtfully timing restocks, and monitoring inventory backstock to keep business smoothly turning. Facilitate communication between various stakeholders, including suppliers, carriers, internal departments, and customers, to coordinate logistics activities effectively. Troubleshoot and resolve problems that arise in the logistics process, which may include but are not limited to late shipments, supplier quality issues, PO over/shorts, invoice audits, and damage claims. Execute established purchasing cycle for assigned locations and suppliers including reviewing forecasts and generating purchase orders using internal forecast software, supplier interfaces, reorder point tools and sales and operations planning inputs. Review and update order quantities and arrival times to ensure accurate inventory levels, market transparency and efficient warehouse operations. Provides and creates business reports as necessary and assume future administrative tasks to support sales and delivery leadership. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in logistics or supply chain.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education/Experience: H.S. Diploma required, relevant associate's degree preferred. Language Ability: Has ability to write and verbally communicate with all levels of the company and articulate solutions to the appropriate personnel. Math Ability: Above average algebraic and statistical capabilities to analyze data and identify opportunities. Reasoning Ability: Has ability to read and follow directions. Ability to conceptualize processes, identify gaps and recommend change based on business plans. Certificates and Licenses: APICS, CPIM, CPF, Lean or Six Sigma preferred. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Work Environment: Office environment. Schedule dependent on business objectives. Minimum 40 hours per week on a five-day schedule. Early morning, evening or nights may be required. Travel may be required as necessary. Physical Demands:Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
