We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator responsible for managing and overseeing shipment and delivery processes of departing containers from W/C port or rail ramp, ensuring operations are timely and accurate.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform drayage processes from receiving Arrival Notices and ISF information before port vessel arrival to creating and sending delivery work orders and managing empty container returns.
  • Build relationships with drayage carriers and communicate urgently during emergencies.
  • Search for backup drayage carriers in case of shortages.
  • Share daily container delivery schedules with carriers.
  • Analyze, create, and track logistics service providers such as drayage carriers, rail companies, and terminals.
  • Monitor and improve customer service metrics including on-time delivery and lead times.
  • Identify timely solutions during pre-pull situations.
  • Analyze and report monthly KPIs for drayage deliveries.
  • Establish and share delivery status reports with customers.
  • Create simple management tools for shipment monitoring and reporting to management, customers, and HQ.
  • Analyze data to identify issues in seamless movement and collaborate with related parties for resolution.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or High School GED required.
  • 4+ years of experience in freight forwarding operations or transportation/logistics.
  • Strong understanding of international transportation, ocean shipping, and freight forwarding industry.
  • Experience with TMS and WMS systems.
  • Proficient in Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel (including v-lookups and pivot tables).
  • Ability to quickly assess situations and make decisions to resolve problems.
  • Ability to build trustworthy relationships with vendors and customers, with experience in vendor management.
  • Ability to prioritize and shift focus to urgent issues without neglecting other duties.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must work onsite in Ridgefield Park, NJ.
