There is no ceiling when it comes to your professional growth at Alamon, an employee - owned company.Alamon, Inc. seeks a Logistics Administrative Assistant for its Enterprise Technical Services department.The Logistics Administrative Assistant responsibilities include, but not limited to, ensuring all travel arrangements are made timely and cost effectively, the ordering and tracking of ordered items/equipment, updating the projected schedule and ensuring all other logistical needs of the department are met.Watch this video to see how great a career at Alamon can be!   • Provide logistical support for division staff by reserving flights, securing lodging accommodations, and booking rental cars as needed.
  • Verify lodging and vehicle accommodations are sufficient and appropriate for location and scope of work.
  • Research and acquire the best pricing and availability of lift, ladder, and
  • scaffolding rentals for job sites.
  • Open appropriate POs for equipment rentals in V Tiger.
  • Acquire and maintain travelers, toll pass accounts.
  • Update the schedule as updates and changes are made throughout the day.
  • Ensuring any existing and/or needed travel arrangements are accurately and
  • appropriately updated on the schedule as well.
  • Providing monthly vehicle inspections to the fleet department for all vehicles
  • assigned to the Lenexa office.
  • Place material orders with suppliers / research and provide options for hard-to-find materials.
  • Open appropriate POs for material orders in V Tiger.
  • Maintain adequate availability to employees to accommodate off-hours logistical needs as they transpire.
  • Research Permit/License/Inspection requirements for jobs as needed and file the proper paperwork with the municipality/jurisdiction to meet requirements.
  • Assist with packing and shipping any needed materials/equipment that needs to be shipped from the Lenexa office as requested.
  • Assist with various other tasks as needed to support Operations Division.
  • Administrator, and/or Management.
  • Perform other-duty tasks as assigned.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Previous Experience as General Administration Assistant or Logistics Administrator.
  • Exemplar attention to detail.
  • Excellent with multitasking and problem solving.
  • Adaptability to new procedures and concepts.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn new software programs.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word programs, Google Chrome, Gmail, Google Sheets amp; Docs.
  • Proficiency in 10-key calculator/keyboard beneficial but not required.
  • Excellence in typed/written communication.
  • Ability to compile/reconcile spreadsheet data.
  • Willingness to continually adapt, change, and learn as tasks are assigned, business scope changes, and the company grows.
  • Ability to identify concerns or make appropriate inquiries to obtain information.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug test.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience in an office setting is a plus but not necessary; training will be provided.
  • Possess a commitment to maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with care and consistency.
  • Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must pass the pre-employment screening process which includes a background check, drug test and motor vehicle records pull.
  • Possess a current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record with no DUI / DWIs within the past 5 years.
  • Be available to work nights and weekends as required by project demands.
  • Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally as required.
Work Environment:
  • This position is an office position.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to perform light physical tasks such as lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending,
  • and standing for short periods.
  • Comfortable with repetitive motion tasks, such as shredding and wiping down
  • surfaces.
Travel Requirements:
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Lodging and transportation will be provided while working and traveling for the Company.
Education and Experience:
  • Highschool Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Possess a professional attitude that will positively represent the Alamon organization to its employees, clients and the communities in which we work.
  • Must be analytical, organized and possess problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn new software programs.
  • Must be Proficient in Excel and Word programs, Google Chrome, Gmail, Google Sheets & Docs.
  • Have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills along with excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and thrive in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellence in typed/written communication.
