Specialty OB/GYN State CO Location 1024 Central Park Drive, Steamboat Springs, CO Requirements UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center is looking for a locums OB/GYN to provide Full Time coverage! Schedule: Schedule: Hospital - M-F Varies Office/Clinic - 8a-5p M-FCall Schedule: 1 in 4. Clinic days are 4 days per provider.24-Hour In-house: NoCall Back Percentage: Weekday - 80 Weekend - 80 OB - 80 GYN - 20Provider will work 4 days in clinic and ~8 days of call per month. CNMs generally cover weekends as 1st call. Caseload: Practice Type: OB/GYNPercentage of Practice: Low risk pregnancy - 50 High risk pregnancy - 50 C-Section - 20 Office GYN - 35 Surgical GYN - N/AResponse Time: 20 minAverage number of patients per physician per day: Clinic - 15-20Average number of deliveries per physician per week: 6Number of staff in the group: OB/GYN - 3 Mid-levels - 2 MFM/Perinatologists - virtualLocum tenens physician is required to supervise other healthcare providers: YES but not supervision but 2 certified nurse mid-wives when they take 1st callOB/GYNS present during locum tenens coverage: YES Worksite Resources: Lab amp Ultrasound onsite: YES performed by TechNumber of exam rooms: 13Office ancillary: RNs support MD in clinicOffice equipment: USDocumentation system: Epic Hospital amp ClinicHospital Services: Total number of beds: 39ICU beds: 4Trauma Level 3Nursery services: Level II Ability to transfer to higher Level NICUReferral/Transfer protocol: There is a central line DocLine to call and coordinate transfersLocum tenens involved in covering/supervising teaching services: NO Required Procedures: risk pregnancy – Pt's with pre-existing problems history of twins history of toxemia pyelonephritis hyperemesisetc.High risk pregnancy – Pt.'s with toxemia diabetes Class II or higher cardiacs chronic lung problems chronic renal disease etc.FHR interpretation – NST/CST/FSEOB ultrasounds – Performance of Interpretation Level I/screening viability Labor and delivery –Vaginal low forceps decision-making for C-sectionComplicated delivery –C-section breech multiple births abruptions etc. Repair of 3rd amp 4th degree lacerations gynecology –IUD Cystoscopy colposcopy cryosurgery LEEP etc.Surgical gynecology *– open laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only –tubal ligation LOA's chromal tubationoperative/major includes diagnostic – ectopic pregnancy ovary removal cystectomy extensive LOA's Travel send provider flights and lodging info 4 weeks before start. Flights - Up to 750 RT capLodging - Reimbursed by Receipt - up to 150 total per night cap. Car rental - Reimbursed by Receipt - up to an economy car cap.Mileage - IRS Standard Rate.
