Specialty JFK University Medical Center-AP-Physician-0083 State NJ Location 65 James Street Edison New Jersey 08820 Requirements Seeking general surgery and surgical subspecialty APP WEEKEND NIGHT coverage - in-patient. Floor patient management, post op care and consults. MUST BE LOCAL Please note - orthopedic surgery is not subspecialty surgery which at JFK includes Surgical Oncology, head and neck oncology, colorectal surgery etc. Also general surgery and orthopedic surgery and the management of these patients is vastly different Necessary licenses required - DEA/CDS NJ license required Needed ASAP - will look into emergency/temp privs Estimated length of coverage 10-12 months Night shifts are 7pm - 8am First assist is not needed No call Ideally 3 APPs on a night Patient load 40-50 with 2 PA's on heavy census/OR active days Procedures - VAC dressings, JP drain management, NGT management, experience with Doppler for vascular monitoring for skin flap patients, Chest tube management. No endoscopy, laparoscopy or is required and this is not for trauma surgery.
