Estimated Weekly Salary Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $6,600 - $7,820 per week Family Medicine Physician Job Details Assignment Type: Locum tenens (6-month contract) Location: Denton, TX 76210 – North Texas healthcare jobs Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Shifts per Week: 5 Shift Duration: 8-hour days Start Date: September 1, 2025 (pending compliance and clearance) Hours per Week: 40 Family Medicine Physician Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience as a Family Medicine Physician or Primary Care Physician Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited medical school Active, unrestricted Texas medical license Current DEA and Texas Department of Public Safety Controlled Substance registration National Provider Identifier (NPI) as required for Medicare Part B Current CPR certification Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills Family Medicine Physician Responsibilities Provide direct patient care and monitor medical services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities Participate in interdisciplinary healthcare teams and advocate for patient medical needs Collaborate with families, nurse practitioners, consultants, and community healthcare providers Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests; analyze medical records and reports to diagnose conditions Advise patients and families on diet, activity, hygiene, and preventive healthcare Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, including hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, asthma, and heart disease Prescribe or administer treatments, therapies, medications, and immunizations Explain procedures, discuss test results, and educate patients and families on treatment plans Ensure compliance with facility and regulatory documentation standards Support and monitor facility Standard Operating Procedures to maintain compliance with accrediting agencies and regulatory standards Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team in Denton, Texas, and take the next step in your family medicine career!
