About The Position We are seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine Physician Assistant for a 75-day locum tenens assignment in New York, starting on Sep 22, 2025. This role requires working 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week, focusing on inpatient care in a dynamic hospital setting. Job Details Location: New York Start Date: Sep 22, 2025 LOA: 75 days Provider Type Needed: Internal Medicine Physician Assistant Schedule: 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts, within the hours of 8-5 or 9-6 Responsibilities and Duties Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care. Communicate effectively with patients and their families about treatment plans and care updates. Participate in rounds, team meetings, and communication hand-offs. Maintain comprehensive EHR records including patient histories, physicals, and discharge summaries. Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards. Assist with discharge planning and coordinate post-acute care services. Engage in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives. Additional Information Bachelor's degree from an accredited PA program required, Master's preferred. Must hold current NCCPA certification and an unrestricted NY state Physician Assistant license. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an inpatient setting, ideally in Internal Medicine or Hospital Medicine. Proficiency in Athenahealth EHR systems. Strong clinical, diagnostic, and critical thinking skills are essential.
