Orthopedic Surgeon - Full-Time Locum Opportunity

Are you a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon seeking a full-time locum position? We have an immediate opening at a leading medical center in Mason City, Iowa, to join a collaborative team of physicians and advanced practice providers. This is a chance to make a significant impact in a hub hospital that serves over 200,000 people across 16 surrounding counties.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with 24-hour on-call coverage.

• Responsibilities: Handle a diverse mix of clinical, surgical, and trauma-call duties. Inpatient responsibilities include rounding on post-op patients, consults, and OR time. You'll also provide follow-up care for your on-call patients.

• Required Skills: Expertise in a wide range of procedures, including total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, as well as hand, wrist, knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and foot surgical procedures. Experience with trauma injuries, fracture care, and sports medicine is essential.

• Facility: This is a Trauma Level 3 facility where you'll have the opportunity to supervise advanced practice providers and work with a supportive team.

• Requirements: Must be Board Certified (no Board Eligible candidates), have a clean malpractice history, and hold an active Iowa license or IMLC. You must also be available for at least two weeks of coverage per month.
