About The Position We are seeking a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner for a 70-day locum tenens assignment in Iowa. This opportunity begins on Aug 4, 2025, involving shifts from 8am to 4:30pm. The Nurse Practitioner will be integral in managing patient care in a critical access hospital, including a Med/Surg unit, a ED, and a ICU. The role requires handling an average of 4-6 patients per day outside of admissions and discharges, with around 6 admits/discharges daily. Job Details Location: Iowa Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital Start Date: Aug 4, 2025 LOA: 70 days Provider Type Needed: Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner Schedule: 8am-4:30pm Responsibilities and Duties Admit patients from the Emergency Department (ED) Manage patient care on the medical floor and in the ICU Handle discharges directly from the floor Collaborate with specialty backup including Anesthesia, Surgical Services, Radiology, OBGYN, Pediatrics, Neurology, Behavioral Health/Psychiatry, and Cardiology Ensure the continuity of care for transferred patients to facilities in Missouri and Iowa Additional Information EMR System: Allscripts Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Iowa Procedural experience is advantageous but not essential Apply now to learn more!
