The company is family-owned and treats each of their employees like family. Due to continued growth, we are in search of Local Truck Driver CDL A Yard Jockey Spotter in Scotia, NY.Compensation

• Hourly wage of $27.30 per hour plus shift and/or weekend differential ($0.40 and/or $0.50/hour).
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
• Overtime paid after 10 hours per day and 40 hours per week.
• Typical work week is 40-50 hours per week.
• Weekly paychecks

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• Typically work 10:30pm-7:00am.
• Work until work is completed, typically 8-10 hours per day.
• Must be flexible with work schedule, work schedule may change based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Make 35-40 moves per day with tractor-trailers using spotter trucks and day cabs.
• Drive manual yard horse and/or spotter truck.
• Backing tractor trailer in and out of docks.
• Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle.
• Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers.

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• No CDL required; previous Yard Jockey/Yard Spotter experience highly preferred.
• Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen.
• No CDL experience required. New graduates are considered.
• Must be able to drive manual transmission, no manual restrictions.
• Familiar with Samsara systems a plus but will train.
• Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses.
• Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors.
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
• Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical.
• Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance.
