is hiring for a Diesel Truck Mechanic

and a Field/ Road Mechanic

Calo and Sons Construction and the family of companies are looking to hire an in-house and field mechanic to work on company owned semi-trucks and trailers.The Heavy Diesel Truck& Trailer Mechanic performs all functions pertaining to the repair and maintenance of tractor and trailer units, heavy equipment, fleet roadside service calls and inventory controls and processing paperwork.

Responsibilities include:

The Heavy Truck Mechanic will:

- Maintain and repair various components of tractors and trailers including:

- Engines

- Hydraulics

- Electric components

- Braking Systems

- Drivelines

- Pneumatics

- Diagnose and correct electrical problems

- Replace malfunctioning subassemblies and components (e.g. transmissions, clutches, differentials, engines, etc.)

- Perform preventive maintenance

- Make recommendations for equipment to be repaired by outside sources

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

- Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs.

- Up to 5 years' experience

- Valid Driver's License

Schedule:

- Full-time position

- Afternoons, and night shift availability

- 10 Hour Shifts

- Weekend availability

- Overtime available
