Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join our team at Bellevue Hospital Center. This role is a temporary staffing position to replace a temporary worker who is ending their assignment. The candidate will be responsible for providing professional social work services in an inpatient medical/surgical setting. This role is integral to patient care and requires strong communication, empathy, and clinical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct clinical social work services to patients in an inpatient hospital setting.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide appropriate interventions for patients and their families.
• Provide counseling and crisis intervention as necessary.
• Serve as a resource for hospital staff on social work-related issues.
• Document case notes, progress reports, and discharge planning in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Required Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
• Licensure: A valid Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) license issued by NYSED (New York State Education Department). Primary Source Verification required.
• Required Skills:
  • Inpatient hospital med/surg experience.
  • Strong clinical assessment and case management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
